My career as a technical illustrator began in newspapers where I produced infographics, charts and diagrams to help explain stories and events. During this time I worked in the United Kingdom and North America. Now based in the UK, I work with a growing number of publishing groups, design agencies and SMEs.
I create illustrations in a range of styles, often adapting the style to fit a particular subject, publication format or brand. Producing a clear design, that allows readers to access and understand information, is central to my work process. I believe myself to be highly experienced in the production of technical diagrams, infographics, statistical charts, maps, icons, scientific and medical illustrations.
In addition to design and technical illustration work, I’m also able to research and write text to accompany projects. I believe that I offer a professional, competitive service (as a freelance illustrator, I don't carry the overheads of a large design studio). Based close to Exeter, I am able to travel throughout the UK and abroad when required. I am available for freelance projects.
